Policy Chief of Staff:

Each chief of staff oversees different committees within the commission, ensuring each staff member understands different aspects of policy issues the commission hopes to address. The chief of staff oversees Academic Inequity Awareness Week, a weeklong programming event dedicated to combating academic inequity. This chief of staff also works on policy relevant to the UCLA academic climate, including expanded advocacy for a new diversity requirement. The chief of staff will also be working on streamlining class planning. The chief of staff is also expected to outreach to academic campus entities and assist the commissioner on issues related to the commission.

Programming Chief of Staff: 

Each chief of staff oversees different committees within the commission, ensuring each staff member understands different aspects of programming efforts the commission hopes to accomplish. The chief of staff oversees Stress Free Days, pre-professional development and academic counseling services. The chief of staff is also expected to outreach to academic campus entities and assist the commissioner on issues related to the commission.

Executive Director of Appointments: 

The Executive Director of Appointments serves as the direct liaison between the 30 Academic Appointments to the Academic Senate and other spaces on campus, and the Academic Affairs Commissioner. As such, the Executive Director of Appointments will ensure that all appointees are prepared to serve as the student voice on these committees and make sure that there is a high level of transparency among these committees and the rest of the campus.

Executive Directors of Leaders of Tomorrow (LOFT) 

The “Leaders of Tomorrow (LOFT) Internship” is a multifaceted internship program designed to introduce students to UCLA and USAC, empower them as problem-solvers, refine them as future leaders, and prepare them for the world beyond the classroom.
